Hey, I’m april

Hi, I'm April—a birth doula, certified placenta specialist, pediatric sleep consultant, and proud member of the Fargo Birth team. I'm so glad you're here!

Whether you're preparing to welcome your first baby or growing your family once again, you deserve compassionate support, trusted guidance, and someone who genuinely cares about your experience. My goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and supported from pregnancy through postpartum and beyond.

Every birth is unique, and so is every family. Whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, epidural, VBAC, or cesarean birth, I'll be by your side to encourage you, answer your questions, support your choices, and help create a calm, positive environment where you can focus on welcoming your baby.

My passion for caring for families doesn't end after birth. I also provide placenta encapsulation, keepsakes, postpartum meal preparation, and pediatric sleep consulting to help make the transition into life with your newest little one a little smoother. Whether it's nourishing your body with a home-cooked meal, helping you get more rest, or simply offering encouragement, I'm here to support your family in the ways that matter most.

One thing you'll quickly learn about me is that I genuinely love taking care of people. Outside of birth work, you'll usually find me baking fresh sourdough, canning, creating homemade tallow balms and whipped body butters, or learning new ways to live a little more naturally. You could say I've become a bit "crunchier" over the years, and I enjoy discovering simple, practical ways to care for my own family and the families I serve.

As a mom of two, I understand that this season of life can be exciting, emotional, exhausting, and incredibly rewarding—all at the same time. My hope is that every family I work with feels seen, encouraged, and never alone. And if there's a reason to celebrate (or you simply need a little pick-me-up), don't be surprised if I show up with something homemade and sweet!
